PROJECT PRODUCTION SYSTEM: FOR CLAIRTY ON MAJOR PROJECTS, ACROSS YOUR TERRITORY.

BOON is a digital project intelligence platform built to help Indigenous governments, Development Corporations, and businesses participate fully in major natural resource and infrastructure projects, from early planning and negotiation through construction, operations, and long-term benefit management. Advancing Indigenous Self-Determination Through Economic Participation

Indigenous Self-Determination in a New Project Economy

Indigenous self-determination means that Indigenous communities have the inherent right to govern their own futures, make decisions about their lands, and shape economic development according to their own laws, values, priorities, and long-term vision.

For generations, Indigenous Nations have been excluded from meaningful decision-making in the natural resource and infrastructure sectors, even when those projects were located on or directly affected their traditional territories. This exclusion has too often resulted in environmental, social, cultural, and economic impacts without fair participation, shared governance, or lasting community benefit.

That reality is changing.

Across Canada, a new era of Indigenous partnership, ownership, and leadership is emerging. Sustainable development now requires Indigenous Peoples to be at the table not only as rights holders and stakeholders, but as decision-makers, co-proponents, equity partners, employers, business owners, and long-term stewards of project outcomes.

The Opportunity

Canada’s natural resource and infrastructure sectors are entering a period of historic transformation.

Transmission lines, renewable energy projects, transportation corridors, ports, mines, digital infrastructure, and other major developments are expanding across Indigenous territories. These projects represent more than capital investment. They are opportunities to create long-term sovereign wealth, build community employment pathways, strengthen Indigenous businesses, and support intergenerational prosperity.

But real Indigenous participation requires more than consultation.

It requires shared governance. It requires transparent information. It requires the ability to track commitments, understand risks, measure benefits, manage agreements, and make informed decisions in real time.

Indigenous governments, Development Corporations, and businesses need tools that match the scale and complexity of the opportunities in front of them. They need systems designed around Indigenous priorities, data sovereignty, economic participation, and accountability.

That is where BOON comes in.

BOON: The Platform for Indigenous Project Intelligence

BOON, developed by Kinetic Canada, is a digital platform built specifically to support Indigenous participation in the natural resource and infrastructure economy.

BOON connects people, data, agreements, opportunities, and commitments across every stage of a major project. From early concept and negotiation through construction, operations, and long-term monitoring, BOON helps Indigenous organizations turn complex project information into clear, actionable intelligence.

The platform supports Indigenous governments, Development Corporations, and businesses by helping them:

  • Track project commitments and agreement obligations
  • Manage equity participation, procurement, and business opportunities
  • Monitor employment, training, and workforce development outcomes
  • Strengthen community engagement and reporting
  • Organize project documents, decisions, risks, and relationships
  • Improve transparency between Nations, proponents, governments, and partners
  • Support Indigenous data sovereignty and informed decision-making

BOON is more than a project management tool. It is a platform for Indigenous project intelligence, designed to help Nations move from consultation to participation, from participation to ownership, and from ownership to long-term self-determined prosperity.

Technology in Service of Sovereignty

BOON represents the next evolution in Indigenous economic self-determination: technology that supports sovereignty.

Major projects generate enormous amounts of information, including agreements, schedules, commitments, environmental data, procurement packages, employment opportunities, community concerns, regulatory milestones, and benefit-tracking requirements. Without the right systems, that information can become fragmented, inaccessible, or controlled by outside parties.

BOON helps change that.

By bringing project information into one Indigenous-focused platform, BOON gives Nations and Indigenous organizations the ability to see what is happening, understand what has been promised, track what is being delivered, and make strategic decisions with confidence.

The result is stronger governance, better accountability, and more direct control over the opportunities shaping Indigenous territories and regional economies.

A Call to Partnership

Kinetic Canada is seeking partner First Nations to help pilot, refine, and deploy BOON as a shared tool for Indigenous economic empowerment and data sovereignty.

This is an opportunity to help shape a platform designed for the realities of Indigenous participation in major projects. Together, we can build the digital backbone for a new era of Indigenous-led development, one defined by transparency, accountability, ownership, and opportunity.

If your Nation is ready to strengthen its position in major projects and take full advantage of emerging opportunities in energy, infrastructure, and resource development, we invite you to connect with Kinetic Canada.
